Can't get new motherboard to work for the life of me

I recently installed a new D6VAA motherboard in my computer and I can't get it to work no matter what I do.

I'm getting really frustrated - on to the problem.

First the specifics:

Dual 933's
256 mb ram
2 SCSI 9 gig drives (boot partition on the first drive)
Primary IDE: 1 CDROM (master) 1 CDR (slave)
Secondary IDE: 1 IDE Hard drive, in slave mode
1 Geforce 2 AGP

That's all I have connected at the moment.

Error Message:

When I boot up the computer everything seems fine, the starting windows screen loads and then the "starting up" screen loads and as soon as the blue meter at the bottoms gets all the way to the left I get:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xED41F848, 0xC000034,0x0000000, 0x0000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen
restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your ocmputer. Remove any newly.....blah
blah blah do chkdsk /f blah blah blah
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When trying to run Windows 2k boot disks I get:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration...

Disk I/O error: Status - 00001000
NTDETECT failed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tried reseating everything several times and keep getting the same error messages. I went through trouble shooting and removed and replaced each component to see which component may be causing a problem, I get the exact same error message EVERY time - doesn't matter which piece I remove (i figured the SCSI was it up but I get the same message if I remove the board). I've gone through the bios and tryed several different things and they didn't work - same message.

HELP ME PLEASE I DON'T UNDERSTAND

and again:
Yes I reset the BIOS, Yes I reseat'd everything, Yes the drives work, Yes the mobo is brand new, Yes I tried the process of elimination to check to see if a certain component was causing the problem, Yes I tried working with the bios. I'm out of ideas.

This may help, maybe not. I read about a similar problem in which the person removed one of the processors to load their system, then reinstalled it afterwards. You might give it a shot...
