im at the run command and trying to run it with -install command but it wont install says windows cant fnd c:\program" make sure its typed corrent. whats wrong?

What OS are you running?

IIRC, make sure you are in the DNET folder, that you have admin rights, and type DNETC -INSTALL

If you've done all that and still have problems, I dunno what the problem is.

What folder did you put it in? It sounds like it isn't picking up the full path name.

The easiest thing would be to create a folder called DNET on the C: drive, so the path would be c:\DNET

Then go to Start, Run, type CMD then press the ENTER key to get to a command prompt.

Type in CD C:\DNET then press the ENTER key

Type DNETC -INSTALL then press the ENTER key

that should work if you have admin rights.

😀

now it worked, when i type it i see a dos window flash open but i dont see distributed.net under the services list in computer management.

You have to start it after the install..

If I remember correctly, its dnetc -svcstart

otherwise just use 'net start dnetc' 🙂

Use a DOS window, navigate to the subdirectory and type dnetc - install. It should show an scknowledgement that it was successful. What did you see?

Looks like your EXE files have become

dnetc .exe
..........^

Notice this space!

Try changing the filenames so that the space isn't there 🙂
