Cant Get network to work with dfi 250gb and 64bit

on sunday i decided to put the 64 bit xp on my computer. the install was quick but when i go to connect to the net over my cable modem it wont work. i have tryed evrething and cant seem to get it to work. i belive it might be the drivers for my Dfi landparty ut 250gb i used the 64bit drivers that thay have on the cd but it will not work =( any body have any ideas?

You've running the latest drivers from the internet?
You've reset the cable modem?
Can you ping any other machines on your network? If you don't have other machines, can you borrow a friend's laptop to do some testing?
