... and I can't figure out what's causing it.
It's a Canon MultiPass 730 - usb connection. It's an all-in-one so it has the scanner and fax capabilities. Now here's the strange part.
I can copy with no problems - either by putting a sheet on the glass-top or by feeding it through the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) on top. However, when I try to print something, I keep getting a "Printer Offline" prompt.
I've checked my connections, tried turning it off and on - then tried turning it off, unplugging it and then turning it on. Two of the cartridges were low, so I put in new ones - didn't help. I've checked Properties but didn't see anything wrong except the icon for the printer is greyed even though it's checked as the default printer. It still can copy with no problem but I'm still getting the prompt when I try to print.
I need this printer for work-related matters, and of course it goes flakey on me when it's a holiday weekend and I can't get get it touch with Canon's tech support.
If anybody knows what the problem is or just has some ideas, I'd really appreciate the assist.
