Can't get my old Tribes 2 account info

I have to use an old PC this week since I forgot a DVI to VGA adapter and my own computer is thus useless.

So I'm stuck with older games like HL1-based and Tribes. I own Tribes 2 and installed it but I can't access my account. I have no clue what my account's login name or email address used was, but I'm sure the email used is an account that is long gone. But appearantly the account(s) are still active since I'm unable to create a new one! 🙁

I tried support.vugames.com as instructed in the Readme, but it redirects to Sierra's useless site. I can't find any support on there regarding a lost account. I'm guessing they would ignore my request.

Wasn't T2 suppose to be free anyway? I have a valid cdkey, but can't even play it!

Anyone have any ideas?

Also, has anyone played Legends? Seems like a cool game very much like Tribes, but I've never heard it mentioned until digging around old T2 sites...

Tribes 2 was indeed given out for free since before Tribes: Vengeance was published, but as you know it also requires an account, and they stopped giving out new keys VERY shortly after making the game available.

Some players have successfully resolved this by emailing Tribes2account@sierra.com and providing their CD Key . They were emailed back the username and password (Some guys posted that you just "ask them to reset the account"). If that email does not work, you can try the newer one, tribes2account@vugames.com

That being said, here's an archive of a quote from the VUG support page:

Problem:
The CD key is in use.

Solution:

Please send an email with your Tribes 2 CD key to tribes2account@sierra.com along with one of the following (to verify ownership of the CD key): Your login name, warrior name, password or the email address registered to the account. Again, email address is tribes2account@sierra.com or tribes2account@vugames.com

If you have access to a fax machine, fax the information to:
310-258-0755
Attn: Tribes 2 Account

If you do not have access to a fax, mail the information to:
Sierra Online
Technical Support 2nd Floor
6060 Center Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90045

dura, I realize you may lack any of the other supporting info, but maybe worth a try with just the CD Key. If all of that fails, there are still a lot of account holders in the Tribalwar community, and some have been known to have multiple accounts, and if asked nicely have given away an account.

ps: The problem with Legends is that nobody plays it. To me it doesn't feel right, I'd still rather play any version of Tribes.
