Can't get my graphics card to properly display XF86 desktop.

I have Caldera Open-linux 2.4, and I cannot get X windows to work with my graphics card. I have an nvidia geforce2 card, and during the installation, it can't detect it. I tried entering the RAMDAC settings manually, and every time, I get a garbled screen at all resolutions, I'm stuck only with the Bourne Again Shell.

I don't know what X11 manager Caldera uses (I would assume XFree86, like most every one else). If so, nVidia should have the extra files you need on their web site. Check them out.
