Can't get my DLT3C to 2300mhz =(

I have my AXDA1800DLT3C JIUHB from newegg, week 0304MPMW. When overclocked, it seems just as good as a 1700DLT3C 0310XPMW. It hits around 2100mhz at default 1.5V, then it needs more voltage to go higher. It takes 1.6V to hit the area of 2200mhz. But when I try to get 2300mhz, I went all the way up to 1.725, but its still not stable. Other people with the same exact cpu from newegg hit 2300 at 1.68V. My board is a C1 soltek nforce 2, which can hit 200mhz fsb and up. I settled on 2210mhz (10.5x210) @ 1.6V, my samsung pc2700 are running along at 420mhz ddr @ 2.5,3,3,7. I get u[ to 3230MB/S in sandra mem bench, but since its only at 2.2ghz, my arithmetic benches are around 8250 for MIPS. Darn, how come my cpu can't hit 2300mhz? Whats amazing about this soltek board is that it feels like I can give it any fsb setting and it will hit it, as long as the multiplier x fsb is still within internal mhz range for my cpu.

Maybe it can't hit 2.3 because it's a 1.47ghz chip and you already got a free 50% speed increase which is awesome 🙂 Not all chips are the same anway, overclocking wise that is.

Will I even notice or feel a performance increase from 2200 to 2300mhz? My athlon is running at 420mhz fsb already with dual channel ddr 420mhz. And at 1.6V, it saves me the trouble and $$$ of getting a SLK800, the GC68 is doing a great job of cooling it, but this recent heatwave is causing temps to go up.

damn right

cant wait to see how high i can get mine though, should get it on monday
doubt ill take it past 2, maybe 2.1
hell, still fast 🙂

I picked up my xp1700 dlt3c 0319 from svc.com for 59.99 and as advertised it runs on my old Epox kt333 board at 12.5x192=2400 mhz with 1.775v with sk7 h/s. The cpu can run faster but my video card does not want to go higher without the agp/pci lock with an nforce2 board.

While your statement's correct he actually has a 1.53ghz CPU 😉
