can't get my 1.6A running help.............

I have set my bios up and have my proccesor at stock 1.6 just to get it running. I then went to the start up to do my fdisk. When I get to the a prompt and type in fdisk I get an error that says "no fixed disks present"

I have checked the connections on both the HDD and mobo. I went into the bios and the drive is detected as a wd80000bb and it sees the drives ,sectors and what not. The jumper is on master and the cable is on ide1 on the board.

what could be wrong?


My temps are ...mb 25C/77F,...cpu 32c/89f with fans on low fans on high is MB23c/73 cpu 29c/85f are those decent numbers?

remove the drive jumper completely.

Boy do I feel like a newb. Your the man Thugs. I'm not sure what I was thinking but I screwed up big time. Oh well. Everything is great now except for that it's to late to get started now.
