Can't get monitor to boot.

I just recently started builing a whole new computer and finally finished everything today. My motherboard that I ended up buying was the DFI nF4-DAGF Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard and also bought a BFG Tech Geforce 7800GT. I connected everything together and booted the computer and noticed my monitor wasn't turning on. I made sure that the card was plugged into my power supply and tried it again, no luck.

Im not sure what to do or if there is anything else I can try. I know that there is 2 ports in the back for DVI and both my monitors use VGA and I have tried using the adapter to no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

other then making sure that you plugged the power into the mobo correctly.
should have 2 power cords into it.
