I don't know if it is the BIOS that isn't allowing it, or if something in the video card is telling the MB that it doesn't support 4X. The video card is a GeForce 4600, the MB is an ABIT KR7A-RAID with the latest bios update. I tried re-flashing the BIOS, but with no change. I previously ran the system in 4X AGP for about a year, then formatted because of some Windows problems, and that is when I couldn't get it to run at 4X. Now, I'm not completely clueless about computer stuff, and realize that formatting and reinstalling Windows XP should should in no way effect what mode my video card is running in, but the problem is there nonetheless.
