When I calibrate my joystick in XP home, the center point floats around. If I try to fly in BF1942, I look like I'm a drunk airline pilot 
(amazingly I still hit alot of things w/ bombs, but strafing is worthless.)
I have an old logitech 2-button joy, uses game port. I've had this joy for years and I've never had this prob. I switched it to a simular machine using a yamaha soundcard vs my SB live, and it was smooth. WTF? No matter how many times I recal, it still does it....pissing me off

Talked to a guy in a store that had this prob once and said he found a 3rd party cal software tha fixed it, but I haven't been able to find any. So far MS knowledge base is useless and Google turned up little...Help! I'm looking at a really nice used sidewinder, but its also game port, so I can't get it if I can't fix prob.
