Hi there,
So last night computer was working just fine and rock solid for a long time up to last night. Today I cannot get into windows 10.
System:
Asus P8z68-v pro
Intel i2500k @ 4.4ghz stable
Gskill sniper 4x4gb 1600mhz 9-9-9-24
intel 335 240gb
EVGA 780 6gb
SB audigy Z
The computer will allow me to reach the point where I hit the login screen and enter my pin and then hang. First time it gave me a BSOD with a memory management error. Now it just hangs indefinitely.
It will allow me to enter safe mode and in here I see that there are literally hundreds of disk errors for every attempted boot I've done. The disk error message in event viewer is "The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block". THis is my boot drive an intel 335 240gb ssd.
I installed and ran the intel ssd toolbox while in safe mode and when running both the quick and full diagnostic scan it gives me a read scan error "Error: an error was detected reading data from the selected intel SSD. Contact your reseller or local intel representative for assistance." The quick scan produces this error at 53% and the full diagnostic scan produces this error instantly.
I ran the intel SSD optimizer and now the quick scan passes the SSD and the full diagnostic still fails it instantly.
I have also run 1 complete pass of memtest+ in single cpu mode with no errors found.
Thoughts? Next steps? Is this definitively a hardware failure on the SSD's part?
Thanks,
Chris
