Can't get into Win2000 with Celeron566

I have buy a c566 and put it it into my Abit bx6-2,but the computer always turn off when win2000 start up screen is run over.Is any problem with win2000 or my c566?

Do you have the latest bios for your motherboard? Also, the drivers for your video card? Basically, it's safe to have all hardware drivers that are win2k certified (compatible at least).

Display : Voodoo 3 ver 1.00.03beta
Sound : Live ware 3
Lan : surecom ver 4

what kinda cooling do you have on it?

Possible causes might be;

Heatsink is not solidly attached to the dinky cpu.

If overclocked it may need more voltage.

Just use intel fan and no overclocking.
