Can't get into hotmail account through IE...

I can't get into my hotmail account through IE but i can get into it through netscape. Can anyone help?

😉 Try using a proxy server, that worked & works for me and also solved some issues I had making long posts in these AnAnd forums. I was and am using UK Telewest 512k Broadband Cable.

Well, what happens when you try to access hotmail? Do you get a page cannot be displaye, does it not accept your password... or what??

I had just got on this forum to post the exact same question. I can't sign on hotmail with IE either. IT just gives me the "page cannot be displayed" crap. I am running XP Pro.

Anyone???

I also have the same problem now, but it does not accept my password. But messenger connects properly and the website works fine. I need IE because the website opens links with a second MSN frame and some websites I get linked two specicly do not alow third party prame sets. Did something change with tge hotmail server?

Thanks

You may not have used your Hotmail account in over 30 days; I think the limit for them is 30 days... Anyways, if your account is still valid try using Outlook Express. It works well enough for me. Messenger will still allow you to sign in with an invalid address.

I don't know about the everyone else, but I check my hotmail through IE or the website nealy every day so I don't think the 30 policy should apply to me and I am well uder my size quota. Has anyone tried contacting hotmail or creating a new account just to test the system and OE?

Thanks
elkinm

I check my Hotmail 3/4 times a day and I've never experienced that problem before, could it be your IE settings or are they as defaults?
