I've cleared all the cookies that have "anand" anywhere in them and I still can't access the forums directly. I have to go the Anandtech site and click on "Forums" to get here. This has been going on for days now. Any suggestions? Thanks

I guess I don't understand. From the announcement: "The fix for this is to delete your forums.anandtech.com cookies. We recommend that all members delete their forum cookies..."

Do you mean that there are hidden content cookies or do you mean that the Mods don't know what cookies are actually causing the problem, or they do know but don't want to tell us?

You need to delete *anandtech.com cookies.

Thanks SVT and Evadman. However, I have deleted ALL *anandtech.com cookies. I've soured every cookie directory for them and have eliminated them all. I still can't get here directly. That's also true of my work computer where I manually deleted all cookies of the form *anand*.* There isn't a single *anand* cookie on either machine and I can't get to the forums directly from either machine. Very frustrating.

Still can't get in. I've deleted all cookies having to do with *anand* and still can't get in. Am I alone in this or are people leaving the forums and we don't hear about them or am I really off base in some strange technical way?

What message do you get when you try to go to the forums directly?

SVT: I took your suggestion and deleted ALL my cookies, and checked it out to make sure that ALL cookies were gone and it didn't work.

However it made me look at the bookmark I was using to get to the particular forum I usually go to. In the upgrade they changed all the separate forum URLs so my old bookmark gave me the 404 error. I should have been more specific in my statement of the problem. I was using my usual link to a particular forum, not the home page of the forums. So, of course, cookies would have no bearing at all on my ability to connect. Didn't think it through.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
