MSI P4M800 motherboard. I turn on pc and it stays on the firsst screen showing VClass
and

"Press <TAB> to switch to POST or <DEL> to run BIOS Setup"

I have tried both, and nothing works. I have tried clearing CMOS, and nothing happened. It worked fine the other day, but since then I added the CD and hard drives. Could it be that a jumper is in wrong position on either of the drives? Please help.

Hi, My MSI and other MBs all go into BIOS SETUP using the DEL Key. Real common usage. Keep tapping the DEL key after you turn it on. It should go right in. Luck, Jim

Thanks Jim, but I have tried that and all it does is make a clicking sound, and stays on the first screen.

sounds like a bad drive or cabling is backwards..
try one drive at a time..

Disconnect the newly added hdd and cd roms first and see if you can access the bios again. If you can then the jumper settings or the cable must be bad. Try reconnecting the hdd and cd rom one at a time while testing the bios access.

It's the hard drive. Bad. Tried all jumper settings, and nothing. I thought that might be what it was, and unfortunately...I was right.
