Can't get Half-Life to work with my 8500DV All-In-Wonder

In OpenGL the game is only visible in the upper left hand corner of the screen, it smashes it up there when I try to execute the game. Any ideas what this is?

WinXP, Asus P4-TE, 1.8 gig Pentium, 8500DV AIW 64Mb, all drivers and updates loaded.

Try to install the ati patch. Look over at sierra.com under half life patches. That might do it.

I see that once in a while here.... (usually when I am doing a listen server)

I just hit escape and when the menu screen comes up, I hit resume game and life is good again....?

you might try playing in a different resolution (match your desktop, just for an experiment) If that solves it,

then you have a driver/install issue and your display mode switching isn't working right.

The ATI patch at Sierra is for HL version 1.0.0.8, I tried it even though the latest HL patch is beyond that to no avail.
