Question: Hi all, It's a brand new BRIX GB-BXi5-4200. I added supportted mSata 128GB hard drive and 4GB Crucial memory. 1.35 The unit powers on (blue LED) but TV screen connected by HDMI stays black. Mouse and Keyboard on USB don't seem to power on. I tested TV and cable by plugging a laptop which worked. Any idea where to start?... Or i should boot using displyport not hdmi ? Thanks

I have heard of that happening, that they ship with an old BIOS that defaults to the DP output, and needs a DP-to-HDMI adapter / cable (?), to get it working initially, and then to flash the BIOS, and set the HDMI as the default output.

Or, maybe you need an RMA, I don't know. (I would think that the mouse and keyboard should, at the very least, light up. If they don't, then perhaps something is dead.)

The all series of Brix system would auto-detect which display output has connected then output screen, connect HDMI or DP should work well.
You mentioned the keyboard and mouse don't seem power on, it looks like the BIOS didn't succeed in running.
I guess the problem might be which the memory module doesn't plug properly. Please re-insert memory module and make sure the keyboard work first. You can check the led of Caps lock works or not.

These things are so sensitive to RAM.. I've had 1.5v sticks that work with NUC's and Zboxes do the same thing in my Brix. Interesting that a reseating got yours going though.
