I'm setting up an FTP server on my computer but there are complications. I'm using a Linksys BEFSR41 router and the FTP server is installed on a system with ZoneAlarm (not pro). I'm using GuildFTP v 0.998.2 to set the FTP up. I followed the instructions within GuildFTP on setting it up on a system with a Linksys router. I have allowed local and internet access to GuildFTP via ZoneAlarm.
People can't seem to get in though. When I use WS_FTP LE to try to connect to it, I login and there's a long pause when it waits to load the directory. Then I get these errors saying "Timer cancelled blocking call" ... "Accept error, blocking call cancelled" .. "Retrieve of folder listing failed (0)"
That's with trying to connect to my actual IP address via WS_FTP. However, if I just type in my local 192.168.1.xxx address then it connects perfectly and loads the folders.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??
