Can't get floppy working

Hey, built a new system...tried to load the OS, but I can't get the floppy working. I need that floppy to boot off of it. I used the same cable and floppy drive in my old computer, and it works great.

AMD 1700+
MSI KT333 Ultra
Maxtor 60gig 7200rpm
OCZ PC2700 256mb
ATi Radeon 8500

Why don't you just boot from the windows setup CD?

If you don't feel like doing that, go into you bios and change the boot order.

Does it not detect the floppy or what? Is your floppy cable upside down on one of the ends or is your boot order messed up in the bios?

hey guys,

Thanks for your help. I finally figured out the problem. Somehow in the BIOS, I had the computer on the high performance defaults... That made it unstable, and I couldn't boot. I reset it to the defaults, and its all good now.

THanks again!
