can't get files: linux read windows files or windows connect to linux

Hello

I have tried to read windows HD (windows10) from an external HD dock to my linux laptop.

the drive mounts but show no files? the files are there

how can I fix this?


also, I have tried to set up homegroup with sharing on local network, but network doesn't see linux laptop

linux laptop and windows machine are on same router, network?

I just need to transfer 2TB of files from windows to linux


how can I fix this?


also from linux the windows network icon show up, but shows no devices


how can I fix this?
