cant get evga 680i SLI board to work w/ vista 32 bit

hi

i cant get my motherboard fully functional. main problem is drivers. the networkign part of the drivers is geting hanged on something called Nvidia Network Bus Enumenator. during installation i get a message that it cant finish installing that enumenator thing because its missing a file, but it doesnt give me the file name. i tried installs and manually browse through all the driver directories on teh CD that came with the board as well as win vista CD and extracted latest downloaded drivers (i use my old comp to get on the net then burn to CD), but without any luck.

board is: evga nForce680i SLI, runign it with a single vid card, no SLI mode.
using a full brand new version of win vista Home Premium. its a brand new whoel system includign hard drive, so whole brand new install. all other hardware works great, vid card, printer, monitor, etc.

also, the onboard audio devices arent workign at all and their drivers arent being installed. i checked bios and the audio is enabled but for some reason vista isnt detecting it properly and the drivers arent even getign pass the installation startup.

i downloaded all the updated drivers listed in the motherboard forum on evga site, tried both MS certified and beta versions with same results. only difference is that the certified version got rest of the board properly working, but still need to make networkign and audio work.

and no, i cant update the bios cause i dont have a floppy or USB drive. they need to figure out a way to do this from HD or DVD. floppies are so damn ancient now, its like asking someone to do somethign nowadays but only if they drive a car with leaded gasoline in it. down with the damn floppy disks.

i also made a post about it on evga board, but so far no help, thought maybe i'd get a bit more luck here.

any help appreciated.

try a new dvd rom reader..

also try to put the drive on a differant bus.

For mine to work with the raid on this board I had to remove the other drive I had installed durring the install.

Disable all the onboard devices.

Install Vista.

Once you get it installed, manually install the newest Vista Nforce drivers.
