can't get email address updated

If I go to my Profile and enter my new email address and click on Update, the change appears to be saved, but is not, as I see by accessing Profile again.

Do I need to enter a new password at the same time I enter my new email address? How do I get this to work?

I'm using Firefox. Do I need to use Internet Explorer for this update?
 
Do you have firewall software running? If so, temporarily disable it, make the changes, then turn it on again. That has worked for most people in the past with the same problem.
