My brother has Gateway Solo 9300, model 6500630. It came with Win98SE of course, but it had all sorts of problems. I knew Win2k would solve all of the problems, so I added a 128 stick of memory to the laptop and stuck win2k (fresh install) on it. Well, i found out the hard way that GATEWAY and DRIVER SUPPORT are not in the same dictionary :|. Gateway driver support is suck bigtime. I am still not sure if I will be able to get/rig up a driver for the built-in NIC or modem 
. Well, i downloaded Cinematograph player (See it here) and tried to get the DVD drive to play movies. No luck. I'm not sure where to go from here, but if anyone could help me, i would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks ahead of time! hehe, I think all of the few problems I have brought into this forum have gotten solved . I love this place.
