I have 2 sticks of Kingston KVR400/512 DDR ram. I try to put in slots 1+2 and get no POST, 3+4 same thing, 1+4 same thing...Just in 1 or 3 or both 1+3 and I will get POST and register the GB of ram but 64bit single channel only...
I can put 1 stick in slot 1 or 1 stick in slot 3 and it will boot fine but again, 64bit single channel only registering the 512mb as it should.
This worked with my original MOBO, I had something die on it so got an RMA then the RMA board I got back had this problem. Just had them send me another and having the SAME problem! What is going on, how can I get DDR to work on this damn thing!
I also tried some pc2100 ram with the same results...
TIA

Normally with Value RAM like Corsair or Kingston, your BIOS will auto dectect.

If it works only with 1 stick, you need going to BIOS and set your RAM timing from 1T to 2T, or increase voltage following Kingston or Corsair Manual.

Trying to other computer and run Mem Test for your RAM.

After all, you will need to think about RMA your board.

P/s: People like to give an ideas about the matched pair of RAM. It's not necessary. Believe me I have all kind of these, it works, but it will limit your performance. Nobody likes to answer you that question. But ME.

Good luck

I have tried different DDR ram (corsair 2x512 266mhz) and same results... Only way I can get it to boot is with 1 stick in slots 1 or 3 or with 2 sticks in 1+3 and any of thos combos says single channel 64bit. im wanting it to say dual channel enabled 128bit, right?
Also, I put the kingston 400 ram in another PC and it came up saying dual channel enabled.
In the bios the only thing I can change for ram is voltage control auto 1.1 or 1.2 and I tried all of the settings - same results - no video/post if ANYTHING is in slots 2 or 4...
Please help!
