Can't get Daikatana to work :(

I bought Daikatana and I installed the game fine. I went to the main menu of the game and everything was ok...

After I click on Single Player and choose the Difficulty level, the game closes and I get this message:
sys_getgameAPI without Sys_unloading game

I don' have idea what's wrong. I already updated my video card drivers and I still get that message.

I have a Celeron 400 and a Riva 128.

Seriously if you have a Riva 128 you may not have enough hp to power the game. That card has only 4 MB of RAM which is not a large amount. Decrease the resolution to 640x480 and turn off all the graphics options then give it another whirl.
 
wrong, the card I have has 8 MB of Ram.

And I don't give a damn if people say I have a sh|tty video card, I can play Q3A, UT and NFS5 just fine :|
