Can't get Boca Winstorm to work in 98SE or ME

It thinks it's a PCI eathernet adapter, and nothing I do can convince it outherwise.

I have the most recent drivers from before boca got bought out by zoon, but they don't help. I got an OEM product that didn't come with the "megamedia" CD that the consumer version did. I've tried a couple different slots on the mobo (A7v) and it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Any ideas?

Have you have been able to use this modem under any Windows Operating System?
Is it a Boca Winstorm 56K Voice Modem?

If it is a Boca WinStorm 56K Voice Modem, then I can help you.

I originally had problems with mine and called Boca Support.
They gave me some changes to make to the INF files that came with it.
I have zipped all my files that I use to install the modem under windows.

I have successfully installed this modem under Windows 95 (OSR2 and OSR2.5), Windows 98,
Windows 98SE and Windows ME. I can e-mail the files to you if needed.

i hated that modem until I too got the "fix" from Boca.
some dumass "can't read the drivers due to CD noise"
why didn't they just admit they screwed up and want you to rewrite the drivers?
