Can't get bios to detect Hard drive

I can't seem to get my bios to detect my hard drive. It's really wierd because it was working fine and all I did was remove my slave hard drive and now the bios won't even detect the drive. I have tried switching cables. Have yet to try switching IDE channels. My jumper is set to master. Any suggestions?

Hi, Some HDs have to have the jumper moved to work without a slave. Check the top of the drive for instruction or look the drive up on the internet for the info you need. Luck, Jim

Excellent ideas, I don't know what I was thinkin' not trying that. Thanks for the refresher guys. Will try this evening and post my results. Thanks again!
