Can't get ASPI working on WinXP

I have Audio Catalyst, and under Settings->General, I am unable to click the ASPI tab. I've tried everything.. manually copying files, tried this:

No good. Any suggestions?

Have you tried ForceASPI to install it?

Or did the Adaptec ASPI install work properly and you have a functional ASPI layer but Audio Catalyst isnt recognizing it?
If that's the case you may need to rinstall Audip Catalyst for it to recognize an ASPI layer installed after the application installation.

You do realize that Audio Catalyst is a mediocre ripper and a poor encoder, right?

That said, I didn't have to install any ASPI anything on my XP machine to be able to rip CD's. Are you sure you need it? You didn't say whether it worked or not, just that one tab was grayed out.
