Can't get any wu's!!!

What OS are you running?

If it's Win95, you'll have to get Winsock2 update to get past this...if not....hmmm?

Let me know and I'll track down the Winsock2 update, if necessary!

Bunker you flushed 3 Wu's through my proxy this morning but didnt grab any to take with you, I am not sure why either. Try connecting to Berkeley, grab a Wu and then restart it with thr proxy parameters.

Does your work use a proxy? Check your IE settings under Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings and see if you've got a proxy involved here. If so, you'll have to modify how you install the client on your machine(s). It would look like this...

seti_control install -proxy xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx (where the first set of x's is the IP address and the second set is the port used (usually 5512 or 5517))
 
Wow, this is weird. I opened up a CMD and tried to login as you, that was successful, but its hung "connecting to server" just like yours..... :frown: WTF? This is on MY network with My machine (W2K) signed on to MY proxy as Bunker.... ?

Eng, using win2k so that's not the problem.

Shux, It was connecting fine to you for a while, I switched to your proxy when OK started having probs. I had my cache set to zero (hence the no dl'ed wu's) because I was trying to flush out all wu's under "bunker" before I switched over to the new email.

I'm going through the list of proxies again trying them all.
 
Robor, no proxy at work, just a firewall and I've never had to do anything in the past to seti to get it to work. Like shux said, I uploaded fine this morning, now I can't d/l!!

Wait a tootin second, I did a ctrl+c and then restarted, it grabbed a Wu and started crunching. Go ahead and try that Bunker.

It's a 933 PIII xeon that can do 4 a day if I'm not using it, I stock up for the weekends and we have monday off! 😀 (Gov't job)
 
Then your using seti driver? You downloaded 12, the Queue is filled up again with 14 so I take it on monday you'll flush the 12 which will cause the Queue to D/L a whole bunch-o Wu's... 😀

You are correct sir shux. I'm going to start using your proxy on my home machine as soon as that finishes up the bunker cache as well, but that will only have a 3 wu cache as I can check on that one every day.


Oh yeah, forgot to ask.....Hey shuxclams, is it okay if I switch to your proxy?? 😀
 
LOL, well considering its listed as a backup TeAm proxy and is one of the Proxies listed in the TeAm Anandtech FlexInstaller I see no reason why not. 😛





BTW: there is a separate bunker Queue as well, though since you didnt download any it didnt fill up with anything..... Be sure to remember that when you connect to dump them. It may take a minute or so for it to respond.
