Can't get agp cards to funtion on a abit Ka7

I've tried both a Geoforce 256 se and a voodoo 3 on my ka7, and neither work right. With the geoforce all games will close to desk top, with the voodoo they close to desk top after about 5 minutes. Both these cards work in other systems.Everething else works fine(internet,scan disk,ect). I figure I'm missing something, but what is it?
Athlon 600
128 pc 100 ram
330w Enermax ps(also tried 300w sparkle)
via 4in1 4.25(agp installed at 'normal')
agp 4 disabled
fast write disabled
Windows 98
used det 6.5 drvr for geoforce
newest driver from 3dfx for voodoo
no sound card installed yet
nothing in pci slot 1
Clean install(low level, followed by high level format and partion) before installing each card.😕
