Can't get 939 3200+ Retail?

I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for retail, but I can't find these retail. Lowest retail only gets down to 3500+

Well I know 35, 37, 3800+, and the FX series all sell retail. I guess they stopped shipping retail on the older models.

These aren't old parts though, that's the point. These are brand new parts that AMD is still ramping up; they don't usually start retail sales until they already have a good supply of chips already built to cover their OEM needs. There will be retail boxes, but it's going to be a while(where "while" is undefined).

I don't think you read that right. I meant that the 3200+ is an older model, while the 35, 37, etc... sell retail, so those are newer models.

The 939 3200+ was just released, as AMD is filling out the rest of the S939 line(3000+/3200+) now that they have the 90nm Winchester core. These new 939 processors aren't going anywhere for a while; the 3000+ won't be a casualty until at least after the 4200+ is released, which isn't for at least a few months.

Virge is right...

939pin 3000+/32000+ are newer chips than the rest of 939 chips.
Dude u havent been keepin up with the technology lately.

I'm new at following processor releases... what is the ETA for expecting retail Winchesters? A week? A month? Three months?
