I can't format one of my zip disks. I can't format it in my drive or any other drive i've tried. All other disks appear to work fine. Is there a way to do a low level format or something like that? Thanks.

Are you using the Iomega ZipTools or the built-in MS software? I have had similiar problems with Zip disks created in different machines. Only the Iomega software worked to format the disk (write protected with a password)

I tried formatting with the Iomega tools, no luck. The disks arent write protected or have passwords as I can't read them either (guess i forgot to put this in my first post)

Hmmm. What model Zip, 100, 250, etc. If it's a 100, I'd just toss the disk. Sorry - no joy...:(

It's a 250MB USB powered drive and a 250MB disk. Might just chuck it, I dont have anything important on it and I can buy a new disk for $9 on newegg, free shipping.

If the disk was stored near heat or strong electrical currents or interference of any sort, it could have ruined the disk.
You also could email iomega tech support, they may know something we dont.
Try formatting the disk in another zip drive if you can.
