I have an epox 8kha+ mobo, downloaded the newest bios, and followed the instructions in the readme file..
So I have 5 files on my floppy disk - but when I insert it and try to boot, it gives me the error message: "NTLDR is missing"...
Same thing when I change boot device to floppy in my bios...

Running win2000 pro, what's the problem and what's the solution? =)

Sounds like your floppy disk isn't bootable.

Try www.bootdisk.com for some downloadable floppy disks in WinImage format, then move all the BIOS flashing related files to that boot disk and boot from it.

Did you format that floppy disk under windows 2000?

If you did then that's the problem.

Go back a re-format the disk under Windows 95/98 or DOS and try flashing again.

Hopefully that helps.

I just bought this Motherboard and plan on running Win XP. Is Flashing the Bios in XP that much different than from Win ME??? Thanks

Yeah. First rule, don't ever attempt to flash the bios from the OS itself.

Second rule, read the first rule.
