Can't find whats taking up 5 GB from my C Drive

Hi

I just noticed that I'm almost running low space on my C drive but I cant justify 5 GB. From a total amount pf 19.5 GB, if I select all the files in drive C, it shows me a total amount of 5 GB. As far as I'm aware, 19.5 minus 5 equals 14.5 but I onlt have 7 GB free. I disabled System Restore and I've checked for hidden files too. What the hell? I would really use some help 😀

Really, could be the swap file, recycle bin, system files, a directory you don't have permission to access. Or run chkdsk against the drive.

Go into the Windows directory and delete off all the directories that begin with $NtUninstallKB.... or $servicepackuninstall... 99.9999% of people don't need them, and can free up a gigabyte or two.

Turn off hidden files and folders and you will see the pagefile which is taking up some of your space, you may also find system restore files and the hibernation file. You should not delete any of them.
