Can't find video card

I have a problem, possible with my video card. After shutting down in Win Me and powering up again, the OS comes up with an error #24 stating that it can't find the video card. After restarting again there is no problem. The problem doesn't occur every time only some times. I have tried numorous drivers both ASUS and Nvidia.

My system is:
Soltek SL-75 KV2-X
1000 MHz TBird
ASUS Geforce 2 GTS

Can it possible be a problem with the OS , or is it a hardware issue? The system is brand new.

try reseating the videocard to see if that solves the problem!

Have already tried that, thx anyway. It didn't help, have also tried another video card, same problem.

Do you have a "check AGP first" or similar in Bios, maybe its looking for a PCI card?

Haven't tried that, I will check that as soon as I get home from work. Hope it will work, thx ).
