can't find supported video cards

I hve an Epox 8khal and I am wanting to upgrade my video card. I am looking to get a Radeon 9600 128mb, but I want to make sure it is supported first. I have went to the Epox website and have yet to find a list of supported video cards. Does anyone have suggestions on where I can find this info?:disgust:

afaik, your mobo is a 4X AGP. The 9600 is an 8X part but will work just fine in a 4X slot as well.

Here's the specs for your EP-8KHAL on Epox's site. AGP is an industry standard, so aside from specific driver and compatibility issues with a given make or model, any recent, well made card will work in an AGP slot. As tenoc said, the fastest card your board supports is AGP 4x. An 8x card will work, but it will operate as a 4x card.

... which doesn't matter at all, not even to performance - with the large amounts of RAM on the graphics cards today, AGP transfers don't even happen during regular gaming use. Just in benchmarks that specifically measure how fast those never used AGP transfers go.

Thankyou guys so much. I am still kinda new to this whole tech thing, so bear with me. I am trying to learn a lot from this forum. So again, Thankyou very much!!!🙂
