My friend burnt a disk in two sessions. First session using the built-in burner of WinXP. The files were about 400-odd MB in size. Then he wanted to add some more. But this time he used Nero Burning ROM.
Now he cant access files burned in session1 in Windows explorer. Only session2 files are visible. The total disk space is shown as only 260 MB. But all the files are visible in isobuster.
Why is this so? I dont have a clue. Anyone knows?
Thanks in advance.

Ya he can. I was just curious whether it is normal for a multisession disk not showing session 1 files in windows.

Sounds like he didn't choose to "link" the previous session. Many mastering programs do this automatically, but it may not happen, if using different software to burn the different sessions. The built-in XP burning is a cut-down Roxio program, so that might explain part of the issue there, or perhaps Nero had an option set to not automatically "link" or "import" the previous session's data.

I think thats the problem. Moreover, he also overburned a little. Just some kilobytes i guess. Now, I cant copy some files.
