Can't find router after setting as repeater bridge

Don't have Internet service at new place yet so piggy backing off a neighbor friend. Using dd-wrt and have set my router as a repeater bridge but once rebooted I can't find my router now to log back in and set up wireless security, it's open.

I'm connected fine to their router and have Internet access, just can't get to my router to set a password. I absolutely know how to do this but drawing a blank.

In AP/bridge mode, your router doesn't really have an IP address.

Did your router have the same subnet (192.168.x.x) as the network you're connecting to?

You might need to use a manually-entered IP address on your computer, with the same subnet you had from the router before, then log-in to your router's original address.

If you can't get in, you'll probably need to do a factory reset to disable the Bridge/access-point mode.

Before you try bridge mode again, give your router an internal/LAN IP address with the same subnet as the other, but make sure it's outside the DHCP range of the other. For example, if the main router is 192.168.1.1 and gives DHCP addresses starting with 192.168.1.100, set yours to something like 192.168.1.2, or 192.168.1.50, or 192.168.1.99 -- so the one you assign to your router will not conflict with the IP addresses other devices receive automatically via DHCP. If you don't know the DHCP range of the main router, it might be safe to configure yours with an IP of x.x.x.201, which would probably never encounter a conflict.

After enabling bridge mode again, see if you can access the router with the LAN IP address you gave to it.
