Can't find onboard gbitLAN @ Asus P5B

I've recently bought an Asus P5B, and I can't find the onboard gbitLAN. It's enabled in BIOS yet Windows XP acts as if there is no NIC what so ever. Installing the drivers worked fine but using the NIC didn't work at all. No lamps are lit on the NIC either! I tried flashing BIOS to version 0509 aswell as resetting BIOS/CMOS, no difference. What to do? Format and re-install XP?
