I just built my friend a new computer and I am trying to put all his old address and contact files into the new windows XP outlook. The old outlook is on a windows 98 drive connected as slave to the comp. Does anyone know where the files could be? I found a mail file that was 327megs on the old drive but it doesnt do anything when i try to open it with the new outlook.

What version of Outlook is on the old computer?

If it's real Outlook (not Express), just do a search for .pst files. You may have to tell Windows search to look in hidden directorys as well as the default directory .pst files are stored in is usually hidden.

If outlook express, do a search for "Identities" Then drill down from there....
If Outlook, do as suggested before, find the .pst file(s)
