Can't find LG driver for DVD combo drive

I have a GSA-4166 B lightscribe. MY drive can burn lightscribe images and read an audio cd. I cannot read a Cd-rom or burn any data to media in this drive. I have troubleshooted my ide modes , cables and plugs. Anyone with similar problems or the needed software? Any help is well appreciated.

you installed the nforce4 chipset drivers, right?
thats a no no

also, have you tried to burn on a non - lightscribe media??

some drives can be real picky on media brand

have you tried a DVD?
what burning prog are you using?
what lightscribe prog are you using?

The nfroce4 chipset drivers are ****** or something? DVD won't read, i have a copy of Nero and the lightscribe program i got from LGs website.

thats right
they either work fine (IDE SATA) - or they dont - depending on each vers./PC config
If they dont, the only way to fix is to rollback IDE SATA controller/busmaster drivers to MS XP SP2 generic
