Maybe it's a Windows Media 9 thing? I converted a wmv file that was encoded via Pinnacle Studio DV 7 to MPEG just fine using TMPGEnc. I run Win2K, so I can not try WMM 2.0 to encode.
Just used TMPGEnc 2.59 to convert wmv to mpeg in WinXp. Just had to select "all files" when trying to find my wmv file to convert. Worked great, to bad its only a 30 day trial version. Wmv file made with the new window movie maker that just came out in beta version, it rocks and is a lot easier to use than any other video program on the market, although its limited in a few things. Wmv won't play on my Ipaq but mpeg does just fine. Thanks to whom ever found out about this program.
