Can't find a 90 degree 90mm air duct elbow

Both my NV5 and PS blow hot air out the back. The problem is that my only intake fan(90MM)blows air in right in between them. So alot of the hot air the PS and NV5 are blowing out is being sucked back in by the intake fan. What I need is a 90 degree air duct that can attach over the fan on the outside of my case and direct air from the side and not from the hot air coming out. I've looked everywhere and can't find anything like it. Has anyone seen anything like what I'm describing? Please don't recomend that I install an intake fan on the side or the front. It won't work in my situation. Thanks for any help.

Where is this "intake" fan mounted?

If it is mounted on the back of the case above the motherboard I/O panel, it really should be exhausting, not intaking.

I agree. But there is nowhere else on my case to mount an intake fan. And if I blow out from it's current location(back) this would create too much negative air pressure since there would be 3 fans blowing out and none in. This would cause the NV5 to have trouble blowing hot air out. So I need it to be an intake fan and the back is the only place in my case I can mount it.

NEVER, EVER INTAKE HOT AIR FROM BEHIND THE CASE. That 92mm fan is meant as an exhaust. You should NEVER reverse its direction.

If you are worried about negative pressure and you can't be bothered to install an intake fan at the front, just leave the face plate off one of your 5.25" drive bays.

Welcome to the AT Forums, Dani - just in case no one noticed before...

If it really doesn't have a front fan mount, why did you buy that case anyway (and I would like to know what case it is so I can add it to my "Avoid at All Costs" list 😉 ).

You could adapt one of those duct kits that SVC, jab-tech et al. carries (using an 80 to 90mm adapter) and just let the duct hang down into the cool air - not elegant, but it would probably work.

Negative air pressure is fine; intake fans have no effect on system temps anyways. wisdomtooth is right, that fan should be acting as an exhaust most definitely not an intake.

Yeah, make that fan exhaust!!!! What case do you have? Remove 1 5.25" bay cover, and Remove one 3.5" bay cover. This should provide enough ventilation so that your case can such in cool air from the front.

90mm is about 3.5". I'd make a trip to the hardware store and look at 3" ABS pipe. My guess is that will stick out the back too far, so you might end up making your own with cardboard and duct tape. You could get real high tech and use sheet metal and foil tape. (I love foil tape, strong, looks good, and holds whatever shape you give it).

Heh....you're getting some dubious information here. Don't believe everything posted on these forums. Much of it is crap.

Here's the best ninety degree duct you'll ever find. It's a drier duct part from Best Buy....about $6. There's an Alpha 8942 on one end (no cpu fan), and a 92mm case fan on the other. A perfect fit without much trouble. Eliminates one fan, and quiets everything down a bunch. Plus it blows all the CPU heat right out.
