Can't enable DMA on Fujitsu UATA100 drive.

I'm using an ABIT-ST6RAID (RAID disabled) and my other hard-drive (Fujitsu 10.8GB UATA66) has DMA enabled and is running very fast; same with my Memorex 48x CD-ROM but my Fujitsu UATA100 chugs along at 6MB/second. It should be in the neighbourhood of 20-30GB second.

Is it my motherboard or the hard-drive that's not letting me enable DMA?

I'm using Windows ME.

Thanks.

Is DMA enabled for that drive? Settings > Control Panel > System > Device Manager > IDE controllers and just make sure everything has DMA enabled. Hope this helps.

that's my first thought, that helped mine....though mine is an ata66....i jumped from 4mb/s to 34mb/s woah, what an increase in preformance!!! make sure you install any and all drivers for that and your motherboard....good luck
