Can't empty my Recycle Bin

I was trying to delete an old WINNT folder, but the error message shows up as follows:

Cannot remove folder system32: The directory is not empty.

What the hell, Man? It won't let me completely empty my recycle bin. Any help?

It probably has sytem files in there. Do you have hidden files shown? You should open it up and take a look to see if there are any protected hidden system files in there.

my bad, i just needed some quick help

let me try that

edit - I can't even open up the folder and I can't restore it, when i try to restore it, it says:

Cannot remove folder Df63: The directory is not empty.

Yup, you were wrong. Anybody got any helpful things to say?

Make sure that your folder options is not hiding any hidden files as well find that option that you have to uncheck that will show all system files too because to me it sounds like a system file that computer is using is located inside that folder and since the computer has it loaded into memory during runtime that is possibly why you can not delete it?

Just guessing here

Okay, I have set my folder options to show all the system files, but still no go. I got to see some new hidden files, but it says the same thing: "Cannot remove folder inf: The directory is not empty." By the way, I tried to delete it from an old hard drive thats been externalized. Someone's got to be able to solve this Rubik's Cube of a noggin scratcher.

just reinstall ur os i mean its not a lil problem where u cant empthy ur hd cuz one of the files are being used...
