I have win xp pro that I just put on a new system (clean install, new hardware). I booted it dozens of times without having to log in. Now suddenly it asks for the users password. I know how to change this but when I try, it says clent services for netware is installed and must be uninstalled in order to go back to the other welcome screen where xp just starts automatically.

I have disabled this service in control panel but still I get the same error when I try to get rid of the login prompt. Does disabled not equal 'uninstall' ? There is no way I can see to uninstall it . Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong.

Hi. To uninstall it select your network adapater properties and select the Netware item and choose uninstall from there. That should fully remove it and get your functionality back.
