Can't edit user CP options

I can't seem to change any of the options in User CP. Whenever I try, and then press "save", the forum hangs and I get a page load error. Because of this, I am unable to update my email/profile visibility, which is required for FS/FT.

Any ideas?

Your email visibility should be fixed. I don't know why it wouldn't update and hopefully you can make other changes with no problems. Some members have reported that the changes page hangs when you try to save but that the updating actually occurs.

I have this same issue randomly it seems. My profile page does not actually update when it occurs as well. I just get a timeout and have to hit back/submit again until it goes through. Sometimes it takes a few tries, other times it's hours before it'll let me update it.

Next time, do NOT hit back. Close the browser window and reopen your user CP. Sometimes the updates take but the refresh doesn't happen, when you hit back, it negates the changes.

I understand that, but I'm trying to change things like my posts per page and threads per page which can easily be checked by refreshing any number of tabs I have open in Firefox. So I browse to the CP, make my changes, hit save, wait for the script to timeout, and then refresh 'Off Topic' and my changes aren't made.

When the page works, it works instantly!

I've been trying to get rid of signatures but can't, even using the above method (Gillbot), which works for changing subscription options.

I am hopeful that many of these issues will be addressed when the databases are tweaked as per the notice at the top of the screen:

I'm running into this problem still, even after the updates. I can't edit my threads per page, etc in the User CP options.

keep trying, if it still won't work let an admin know and we'll try to help get it updated for you.
