Can't edit text inside word 2007 textboxes

Good morning,

I am re-doing my resume based upon this template I found on reddit.

http://omnitude.net/addy/GenericResume.doc, (obviously with some tweaks)

My problem is I can't seem to figure out how to edit the text inside of some of his textboxes, "skills" and "attributes" for example.

Anyone have any ideas?

The text in Attributes really isn't in the text box. It's in a column format. For Skills you have to delete the text box that's on top and the actual text is contained in another text box below the first one. You can blow away the text box on top of Attributes as well.

There's some really sloppy layout and formatting on that resume, btw.

Edit: On 2nd look, the Attributes aren't set up in a column format. It's just indented to the right to make room for the Skills text box.

Agree! Before I retired, I read many resume's and did many interviews, and this one is not sufficiently focused on any particular position, i.e., "targetted." It is more than 2 pages - those usually get shoved aside - too much BS.

The main thing I look for in a resume is the answer to this question: "What can this person do to improve my business and/or bottom line."

Resumes are mainly to create interest resulting in an interview. Those that get the job are those targetted on specific jobs or requirements.

Avoid boxes and columns and eyewash unless you are applying for a graphics layout job. Keep it professional and concise.
