can't download or save anything with firefox

I try to download something, and the download box never shows up. I just tried right clicking an image, clicked save as, and nothing happened. Same for downloading anything. I can't even save a web page.

I'm using the latest version of firefox (I assume the autoupdate updates to the latest version..) NoScript, All-in-one Gestures, and StumbleUpon, but disabling the addons doesn't solve the problem. I can download just fine with IE.

A couple sites suggested deleting the downloads.rdf file and/or clearing the search history. Didn't work.

I'm pretty sure this just started happening today. Anyone else experience this?
 
In options - main -downloads make sure alway ask where to save downloads is enabled. You can check show down window if you want there too. If that dont work try a reinstall of firefox
